Deciding My Little Princess' Name

I am on my 32nd week of pregnancy as of this writing and I'm still caught up with two beautiful names in my head.

source: http://andthentherewasthisblog.blogspot.com/2012/01/whats-in-name.html

I salute those parents who can easily give names to their children ---- some just after they give birth in the hospital, just as when the nurse asks for it. But to me, it seems like naming my first ever princess is such a hard task. Maybe because this time, naming is so precious to me because long have I waited and prayed for my little princess to come. And i have been longing to dress up my child with cute headbands and mushy tutus, which I can't because my first born is a boy (unless I would make fun of him at times when I really want to.hehe). It feels like, to me, I should be giving only the best and unique name to my daughter, just as any mother should feel. :)

So, to my loyal readers, I'd be needing a little help from you. :) Help me decide on which of these two beautiful names is more likely to sound good and different. My eldest's name is Julian Lancelot Caius de Chavez.

Here are the two names to choose from:

Juliana Olivia Aundre de Chavez

Or

Juliana Gabrielle Lois de Chavez

I personally crafted those names based on my husband and I's names and the current condition we're in while she is in my womb.

Juliana has been our choice ever since we decided to give names for our son and daughter even before I get pregnant. It's derived from my husband who's name is Julius. Olivia is my personal choice. I like its femininity and the sophistication it actually exudes --- just as what I'm sure what my little princess will be. Aundre is something that I just created out of Aurelius which is also my husband's name. I have also chosen Gabrielle because I wanted a name taken from the bible or at least related to God. Gabrielle means "God is my strength". Lois is a name i derived from my father's name, Luciano. I wanted him to be part of my daghter's name because he also was in his 3 daughters' names.

So there are the facts! Hehe I hope you guys can help me decide. :)

Just comment down your name of choice.

Thanks a lot!

Julian's Haircut Experience at Facade Beauty Nail and Kids Salon

Since we have just newly moved in Imus, Cavite, I really had no idea about the whereabouts here. So for the past months, my bestfriend has been Google and Google maps (hehe!).

Anyway, since it is summer time and heat is irritatingly affecting my pregnant self and my son, I decided to have his hair cut. But I didn't want to go further than Imus because I'm pregnant and it's already my tamad days. So Google being my bestfriend, showed me this very chic kids salon along Buhay na Tubig in Imus. Just minutes away from our place! :) Perfect!

*****

Looking for a the perfect Nail and Kids salon in Cavite? Look no further than Facade Beauty Nail and Kid's Salon!

A very chic and cozy nail and kids salon, Facade Beauty Nail and Kid's Salon offers satisfying nail services and haircut services for adults and kids.

With their very inviting and super shabby interior, the kids and women of all ages will surely feel at home and relaxed as they enjoy being pampered. :)

That's my sister-in-law and my hubby waiting outside since we came too early. :)

Their very kid-friendly car chair to entertain the little ones while having their haircut. :)

Super fab couches to make you feel relaxed and more comfortable.

This is their nail polish corner where you can see a number of colors to choose from. You can choose from their wide array of brands and nail polish shades.

They also have a flat screen TV for some entertainment --- mostly for music.hehe

They have accentuated their interior with wooven baskets and lanterns to give that whimsical feel.
Oh, that door is their restroom ------ where I took Julian for a shower using their bidet since He was covered with hair all over his body. Hehe

Mr. Barber man forgot to put on this cutie robe to Julian that's why he was covered with hair all over after the session. And, me too.

So this is my son Julian Lancelot Caius having his haircut while carried by his dad and of course with me, showing moral support behind. Hehhe He was crying all throughout by the way.

Haircut in action. This tme, with me. We both look like wolves because of the hair all over us.

So this is the final haircut! Tadaaaaa! Super handsome son! :)

Check out their cuties wall art and couch here in their waiting area.

So after all the cries and screams, he really sure is hungry. :)

Final take:

Overall, I am giving this salon 3 stars out of 5. :)

Our experience was fun and exciting but not perfect. There was some glitch with regards to their information dissemination. I suggested them to update their Facebook Page from time to time to give more accurate and up-to-date information regarding their business hours and other special services.

Also, when my son had his hair cut, Mr. Barber forgot to put on the robe to Julian that is why we were both covered with hair all over our bodies ---- from the face to the toes. Maybe it was because we were their first customer and Mr. Barber still needs some time to prepare. Just remind him to put on the robe to your child when you go there. :)

But good thing their staff (i forgot to take a picture of her), was kind enough to let us use the restroom so I can give my son a quick shower just to remove all those itchy small hair all over his body. I, managed to look normal again by using their brush and powder, which is unlimited. Hehe

Oh and super plus points for them because ALL their products like their powder, are hypoallergenic and very kid-friendly so you are sure that only the safest brands will touch your children's skin. The brand of their powder is Pigeon by he way. :)

I also met the owner of Facade, and she was very nice too! :)

So kudos to your good interior, satisfying haircut finish, and accomodating staff and very professional owner. :)

They also offer their services for your Party needs like their Kids Salon Service and Candy Buffet service.

Julian Lancelot Caius' 1st Birthday Celebration at Jollibee

 The Planning and the Experience

After a lot of thinking about my topic for my next post, I finally realize to blog about my son's birthday last December. Yes, last December. haha! It may be late but the fun actually still lingers and still worthy to share. :)

Feeling like I myself is the celebrant, I prepared my son's birthday celebration 6 months earlier (so that's May to be exact :D). I intently searched for the perfect theme for the party and yes, boy it was hard. I thought that was the easiest part but it turned out to be the last thing that I was still preparing on.

Anyway...

I decided to celebrate my son's birthday at Jollibee. At first, it was none of my options because I thought I wanted an extraordinary party for my son. Not that Jollibee is not superb but I just wanted a venue that is new to me and my guests. :) But as the party draws nearer, a lot of factors made all the planning boil down into something simple yet rockin' like a rockstar! Like I say it, "Simple pero rock!". So considering all the time and budget constraints (time: because of my fickle mind in deciding), I finally said YES to Jollibee. :)

And that charming cute bee didn't let me down. :) I would definitely recommend you, my dear diva mom readers, to experience the fun and excitement on your child's birthday at Jollibee! (Wow, sa pag advertise! :D Hello Jollibee!)

My husband and I are actually expecting 80 guests but come the day of celebration, the number went less. That actually went to our advantage though, since after the party, almost all of our guests went home with a bunch of take home Jollibee food treats! Not bad. :D

So with no further ado, I would like ot share to you my son's birthday celebration at Jollibee Mindanao-Pag asa branch last December 8, 2012!

And So I'm 24. (..late post)

Yes. I just turned 24 last March 12, 2013.

A lot of people are actually asking what it feels like to be a year older. But I think a better question to ask would be, "How has it been now you're on your 24th year?" Or maybe, "Has anything changed since last year?" Or I guess, "What's new now you're 24?". I bet it would take a million times of thinking for me..

So really, what would qualify as the most significant thing when you turn a year older? Is it the things you have done since the past year? Or the bad habits you have changed like smoking, drinking or staying up too long in a coffee shop doing nothing? What about the people you've met? Or the unexpected-turned-unforgettable events that occurred then? Would my 24 years of existence be significant if I had met Beyonce face-to-face when I was 23? Or spent a whole day just shopping in the streets of the UK?

But then I thought,  would these things be actually be significant? I thought twice..

It's the mere fact that I, having reached my 24th year in life, makes it all seven-fold meaningful. It's the fact that I'm still breathing and being able to type as I try to finish this "birthday edition" post. It's the so-many-other-wonderful stuff that brought me up and kicked me down. It's so many other things that you can't actually identify that makes living so grand.

I thought I would be able to share with you a lot of fortunes and misfortunes that came my way, but I thought I'd rather not. It's by mere appreciating what's NOW that really makes it worthwhile.

I feel weird by trying to express the point of this post since I don't feel too much coherence.. Well, that's actually what makes living and existing for 24 years meaningful and exciting. The fact that even if you, yourself, do not understand, some other existing Being beyond our means does. :)

I feel grateful for whatever have I become, it's all because of what I have chosen to be.

Amen.

Happy 24th birthday Ma. Lara Camille Ramos - De Chavez! Cheers! :)

Yummy Review: S'MORES by MED CHEF ♥

Finally, The Marketplace at Eastwood City is now back! It's a night food market like Banchetto, and Il Mercanti. Some of the food stalls are even familiar to each respectively since a lot of these participants are loyal consignees of food bazaars.

Since it's first day at Eastwood, I have been wanting to taste the yummy and sinful cakes of MedChef. This day, is the chosen day (not to mention that it is also the pay day!). Finally got a bite of one of their bestseller cakes! Here's a yummy review of a sinful bite!

Find: S'MORES by MedChef
Price: PHP 80
Place: The Marketplace at Eastwood City

 Take:

This yummy, moist S'mores will definitely satisfy your sweet taste buds! Topped with Graham and melted Mallows with Chocolate fudge poured all over, this tempting dessert will truly complete your carbo-loaded meal. The cake itself is moist and fine which doesn't look like crumbs as you eat it. It slides into your mouth as you eat it, not letting you feel like you're eating some almonds or peanuts in it. The serving is big enough to justify the price.

The chocolate syrup topper is as mouth-watering. It is so rich and thick that it stains your spoon heavily which made it hard for me to completely lick off the remaining chocolate. The Graham biscuit may not be as crispy as it is alone but it complements the melted mallows together with the moist chocolate cake and chocolate syrup. The packaging is also convenient for those who want it to-go, especially that most of the customers are working people, living a fast-phased-one-hour break.

The dessert really spells heaven! Indeed, it made my dessert a yummy experience! It made me want some "S'mores"!
 ********

I wished I could buy every single dessert they have, but I didn't want to splurge right away just because it's pay day. So, this is the first for now. I promise I will take a bite of the other cakes too! Next time, I think I'd love to feel some guilt with their Red Velvet Cake.:)

P.S.
It's just sad that just as I've decided to bring some for my husband, I left it at the fastfood where we went after. Geeez. Now I can't go back to get it because for sure, the fastfood crew had cleaned our table already... :(
